Hello, I'm Felice Boling-Key. I live on 7 ½ Street SW in Charlottesville. My husband, Herman, is a long-time advocate for people with disabilities in our community and also serves on the Planning Commission. I'm the proud mother of two beautiful children who are students in our public schools.

I have dreams for my children. I want them to have every opportunity possible. That's why I stand before you today.

When I first heard that Creigh Deeds was running for the Senate seat, I had a need to talk with him, up-close and personal. It was then that I knew he would be the best candidate to help fulfill America's promise to my family.

He understands that working people need affordable housing, safe communities, and a living wage.

He understands that a good education is the key for our children's success.

He understands that employment means more than just a paycheck. It means decent working conditions, job security, and comprehensive benefits - especially quality health care.

He understands that our laws must apply equally and fairly to everyone - that America is a place where people should live without fear or intimidation, a place where justice really does mean justice for all.

I want a state senator who hears what I'm saying, and can do something about it - and will do something about it.
