The Center for Campaign Leadership http://campaigns.berkeley.edu/ at UC Berkeley is running a program to provide an almost free day of nonpartisan campaign training with free registration at the Campaigns and Elections conference in DC in April. The nonpartisan training includes a full day of presentations by political consultants about the fundamentals of campaigns, with a lunchtime presentation on campaign ethics. This program is targeted at young people/people new to the political scene. Lodging and food are your own responsibility. The C&E conference is the place to see and learn about political consultants. The brochure and application to apply to attend both for $35 are available at http://www.ccps.virginia.edu/sorensen/CCL-brochure.pdf. The website for the C&E conference is http://www.campaignline.com/events/index.cfm. The C&E conference costs about $400 normally and is filled with a political consultants trade show and training seminars.
