Dear George: Congratulations to Rus Perry and Lloyd Snook on a well-run convention. The large gathering and the many new participants demonstrated the fact that it was a very open process. It was quite pleasing that there were six candidates. We should be proud of the way in which they conducted their campaigns. Those who lost were gracious in defeat and supportive of our two candidates. Congratulations to Blake and Alexandria. Blake led all of the way. It was not surprising that he didn't win on the first ballot. Botes were spread among six candidates. There is no way that a Councilor, especially a Mayor, will make tough decisions and make everyone happy at the same time, even Democrats. Despite one or two disgruntled individuals who have expressed themselves in a rather extrememly negative way, we should now work hard for the election of our two fine candidates. Francis H.
