George, I went to the meeting on sexual-orientation policy in the schools and took a few bad photos (not yet developed). I wore my lovely shirt, "So many right-wing Christians, so few lions," but I couldn't persuade Joe Glover, the rep from the Family Policy Network to pose with me. He said he wouldn't pose with the shirt, because though it was very funny it featured 'hate speech,' and he also feared I'd exploit the photo. I said I would cover the t-shirt with my purple jacket, but that bothered him nonetheless, and I told him I just wanted to let you post the photot on your website. ![]() He knows Who You Are and says oh, yeah, George Loper has some of our material on his site. I think he's afraid of being MOCKED. I then took a photo of his group all turning their backs to me. Virginia Germino (electronic mail, August 4, 2000). Note: Here is what the news release of the Virginia Policy Network says about Virginia: "One activist who supported the new anti-harassment policy demonstrated her hypocrisy by wearing a T-Shirt directing venom toward conservative Christians. It read, "So Many Right-Wing Christians So Few Lions" (News Release, Virginia Policy Network August 3, 2000). Family Policy Network is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Send all
