On Sunday, there was a counter march to oppose the Million Mom March by the Second Amendment Sisters, asserting "that the Second Amendment right to bear arms is 'non-negotiable,' and would be dangerously infringed upon by additional gun control laws" (Ann Scott Tyson, The Christian Science Monitor, May 12, 2000).
