Bob Knight has shown that from a technical standpoint he is one of the best coaches in the nation. However, that is not enough to compensate for his lack of judgement. These are not isolated instances, but rather a pattern of inappropriate behavior over the years. I would not want my child to have to put up with the abuse that Coach Knight submits his players to. You can be successful as a coach without this kind of behavior. Should he be fired? If I were the Athletic Director at IU he would not have lasted this long.
