I wholeheartedly agree with Mayor Daugherty. I would even be willing to change "Gleason Street" to "Hemings Street" except that it is only one block long and would not do the cause justice.

Perhaps we have received all of the positive evidence of Mr.Jefferson's relationship to the Hemings family that we will get, but it is enough to convince me that Mr.Jefferson did it! Besides, we send men to the electric chair on no more evidence than that, particularly in Virginia and Texas.
