John via George, Enjoyed your anecdote. Reminds me of when I bussed tables at a big deal restaurant in Florida. I missed one of the biggest opportunites of my life. Charles Colson was eating with his mother and I could have stumbled and doused him with icewater (hot soup?) but restrained myself. I thought of Colson as perhaps the biggest SOB of that crowd and his religious conversion... I also got fired. I loaded the icebin with ice at 11:00 at night... Also, all the waitresses were working me (I didn't know my area) and hence none were satisfied. All in all a lousy experience. I was notified by having no work scheduled for my second week (subtle bastard). From Memory Lane, Jim Barns (electronic mail, November 18, 2000).
