George,

That was a great event yesterday and I also made it to Caplin Auditorium at 4:00. It was wonderful to see Steinem practice what she preaches. She was on stage with two young women who are part of the 3rd wave of feminism and who have recently completed the book "Manifesta" that Steinem mentioned at FOCUS yesterday and that is reviewed in the current issue of MS.

When the audience posed questions, the young women always replied first and Steinem added comments afterwards if she had any. Apparently one of the main complaints that 3rd wavers have against 2nd wavers is that they are treated like daughters or hand servants and not generally allowed to share the spotlight. Steinem clearly "allowed" her younger cohorts that opportunity here.

By the way, like at FOCUS, the place was packed with some folks even sitting in the aisles. Great to see.
