![]() Celia Thompson Celia Thompson recently participated in a commercial for CTS. According to Marketing Director Diane Taylor, the TV commercial "is just one element of a comprehensive "choice" marketing campaign targeting discretionary riders. CTS ridership has increased with over one million passenger trips in FY 02 and the rising trend continues. More people are "choosing" to ride for reasons beyond necessity: to help reduce traffic, parking congestion, to protect the natural environment, to save money on gas & parking,... many points highlighted in the upcoming commercial." (Diane Taylor, electronic mail, October 16, 2002). What does Celia do when she is not making commercials? ![]() She says, "Besides driving for CTS, my FT job is that of Fire Fighter for the city. I'm scheduled to work about 10, 24 hr days per month. I'm an Engine Pump/Operator who's function is to make sure I give water to the Hose guys as needed. I must be sure that the engine is fully operational and has everything we might need to fight a fire. In addition I'm supposed to know how to get anywhere in my "first due" area, I have maps to help with that. ![]() On my days off, which are plenty, I fill in for CTS.
