George,

I read the thoughts on the SUUVA @ UVA. Thanks for Dave Sagarin's comments. I do not agree with them!

I believe in order to make a positive change for workers public or private, collective bargaining, or a right to work state with no worker rights like Virginia ---- workers must stand together and united as they are at SUUVA/CWA!

Could you imagine if there was no worker organization on the campus? The workers trying to stand one by one? Against a current administration that is anti-worker and anti-union!

Organizations must have a starting point. I see major progress at SUUVA/CWA. Not only are the number of members increasing but so are the accomplishments they have achieved since the organization started.

SUUVA/CWA will be a successful organization for many years to come! The courageous work SUUVA does is amazing to me! It takes a lot of faith and commitment to do the job they are doing! To challenge the state of Virginia when they do not treat workers with respect! This is a cause not a job! This is about giving workers a voice on a job! Some UVa workers may have viewed this as an unrealistic goal just two years ago, but today have some hope! It’s about that! To give workers some hope -- things will get better they will have a voice that they matter in the big picture -- giving workers hope against state government!

Good luck SUUVA, keep the faith!
