Mr. Jacob is president of Citizens in Charge, a citizens' lobby that advocates Initiative, Referendum and Recall rights at all levels of government. The title of his address is "Has 'Representative Government' Become a Euphemism for Unrepresentative Government?" The address will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Room 209 of Maury Hall; the event is free and open to the public. One of the more interesting aspects of Mr. Jacob's life was his refusal to comply with the Selective Service laws, a stance that brought down the wrath of the federal government upon him.
