I have to assume this pilot is what is called a 'born again christian", although I never actually understood that combination of words only as they are applied. The motivation of such a person is their strong belief that they have obtained the truth of everything and are so encompassed with that idea that they just knew they have to share it with everyone. This is at the heart of all gnostic movements and compares to the fervency of those who quit smoking or drinking or your local Jehovah's Witness team. For these folk they have moved beyond the judgmental right and wrong that creates doubt in those of us who have not been given the light of the true word. What can you do about them? Shake your head in disbelief? or in sorrow? I say ignore them like you would any other person who talks to the voices in their heads. They cannot hear you anyway.
