Dear Mr. Loper,

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the articles written by Ms. Haysom. Her intelligence continues to grow as I believe she as a person has done. While living in Cape Breton as a child she was a neighbor and attended school with my son. I am well aware of the unloving and cold home she was brought up in at that time. We in the neighborhood liked her and wished she could be more like other children. Unfortunately she was soon whisked off to boarding school. Now I anxiously await the time she will tell us in her column she is being released and can contribute further to society. She has so much to offer. I know in my heart she will someday give back to this world more than has been taken from her.

Yours truly,

Judy Cartwright (electronic mail, May 21, 2004)
