George, Didn't know if you knew the 17 are being brought up on UJC charges now--could be expelled. Of course the ADMINISTRATION did this. Trying to get their own students kicked out for an act of civil disobeidience. Unbelievable. I'll tell you one thing, if I was a parent and paid for 4 years of college I'd be plenty pissed if my kid got expelled 2 weeks before graduation because of a sit-in that "inconvenienced" a few too-highly-paid administrators. But on a larger scale, UVA is doing this to quell any future civil disobedience on their campus. Not by students, surely not by the union or employees. Jan Cornell (electronic mail, April 25 , 2006)
