    Demonstrators were asked to remove tents and belongings from Madison Hall by 10 a.m. today. Otherwise they would be impounded.

    Around 1 p.m., Karen Waters and Joy Johnson addressed a crowd of Living Wage supporters on the steps leading up to the Rotunda, across from Madison Hall.

    Students were not allowed to set up tents in this area and are still working with attornies to see what might be possible.

    It is not clear from the memo above just where they might put tents which would not be interpreted as a violation of the policies of the University of Virginia.

    By all appearances, it would seem that it is only the South Lawn which has particular rules in the Undergraduate Record regarding its use.

    In the meantime, recent events have served as an inspiration for a piece of art work by Joanna Clarke. Perhaps it would be a good addition to John Casteen's office.

    On Wednesday, April 19th, there will be a faculty teach-in on liveable wage, with professors in the departments of Political & Social Thought, Latin American Studies, History, Anthropology, Religious Studies, Politics, among others, at 1:00 p.m.
