Readers of your website could have read and/or sung my song that was published in February 2008, prior to the Virginia primary, that endorsed Barack Obama for President. Title of the song, "The Answer My Friend Is Barack Obama." Let us continue to sing this song.

This composer has released a song that made its public debut on August 24, 2009 during the Health Care Reform Rally that was held on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall across from City Hall at the Paviillion. Also participating in that rally was AFSCME with its green bus bearing the sign "Highway to Health Care that is traveling across the country creating rallies for comprehensive health care.

This composer invite people to join with him just as they did to elect Obama President of the United States and demand that Congres enact Heath Care Reform legislation.

Today, life expectancy in the United States is 78 years. In Japan the life expectancy is 82 years. In this cagtegory the United States ranks number 30 among the nations of the world. According to the World Health Organization the United States ranks 37th and the United Kingdom 18 in the quality of health. The United States' expenditure on health as the percentage of GDP in 2005 was 15.2%, for the United Kingdom it was 8.2%. In this category the United States ranks number 2 and the United Kingdom ranks number 41.

The fact is the United States is already spending nearly twice as much on health care as any other nation but does not have the best quality of health care and excludes 47 million of her citizens for health care. It is not more money that is needed. What is needed is reform to take health care out of the for-profit business, as other civilized nations have done. Nothing less than a public option, by any other name, can accomplish health care reform. That non-sense talk about not having the government, but the people, to control health care is ludicrous. The government is the people. Why do you think we have elections every two, four and six years if the government is not the people. If the government is not the people we should cease having these elections.

I invite you to join with me in singing "Health Care for All." It can be sung to the tune of the African American Spiritual, "There's a Balm in Gilead." If you choose not to sing this song, say the words aloud, according to how you feel when you read these words. It is the message that is important. However, music gives wings to words. This is the time to soar!

HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
(Key of F - 4/4)
Our man-date is to pro-vide health
care for eve-ry-one,
Our man-date is to pre-vent sick-ness
and heal the sick.
1. There sick-ness in the na-tion
And peo-ple are hurt-ing.
If they do not get health care,
They may get sick-er and die.
2. Be there for them and our-selves;
We all need each oth-er
To make health care ac-ces-si-ble
To eve-ry hu-man be-ing.
