I have always been against the Meadowcreek Parkway because I don't think it will help the City and will instead add to our traffic problem.as well as spoiling more of Mr McIntire's generous gift to us.

I know the County people love the idea of driving through Mr McIntire's pretty park and racing through town to get to the County on the other side. I have watched cars lined up on McIntire hill at West Main and they don't turn left or right to do business in the City. They just want to get through, too many of them now, and think of how many will be coming through if they get their parkway.

I have to hope that the expense will delay the infamous Parkway for a few more decades while the County provides itself with some roads on their own land. There is a. serious need for a North-South connector for state traffic from Danville to Washington, and the answer is not a Meadowcreek Parkway.
