I knew Alicia since I moved to Charlottesville in 1985. She was director of TEENSIGHT while I worked at FOCUS and I continued to be in touch with her all these years. She was such an inspiration to me. Her passion for helping others reminded me of my Mother and I was pleased to introduce them at one point.

I used to visit with her on her porch on Brown Street. I am grateful that I visited her very recently, amazed at how well she seemed despite the lung cancer and diabetes. We were still able to have a lively conversation. I will miss her!
