Peter Yarrow appeared Wednesday evening in concert at UVa's Cabell Hall,
as part of the kick off for a new decade-long series of programs, symposia,
television documentaries, public lectures, travel opportunities, and teaching
resources to be offered by the Center for Politics commemorating the landmark
political events of the 1960s.
“The 1960s are turning fifty,” said Larry Sabato, Director
of the Center for Politics. “The Golden Anniversary Series will
commemorate the great themes, movements, and moments of JFK’s White
House years and the decade that followed, beginning with [this] special
event on April 28, 2010 focusing on the Music and Politics of the 1960s.”
